Maison Charlee offers a different approach to candles: the sand candle, 100% plant-based, refillable and fully customisable. Here, light is not fixed. You create it.

What is a sand candle?

A sand candle is plant-based wax in the form of sand, also known as powdered candle wax. Unlike a traditional candle, you put it together as you like: a heat-resistant container, candle sand and a removable wick. It is refillable, long-lasting and gives about 200 hours of burn time per 500 g, depending on conditions of use.

Maison Charlee candle sand is a 100% plant-based, vegan wax, formulated without CMR substances and compliant with the European REACH regulation. It burns cleanly, without black smoke. You can also give a new use to your glasses, vases or other containers, as long as they are heat-resistant.

Tips for use

Choose a heat-resistant container at least 8 cm in diameter.
Pour in the candle sand, then insert the wick without touching the bottom, leaving about 5 mm showing.
Add a few drops of candle fragrance around the wick, to the intensity you like.
For large containers, space the wicks about 10 cm apart.

Refilling your candle

Unlike classic candles, the Maison Charlee sand candle is never thrown away. After each use, let it cool: a shell of wax naturally forms around the wick.

If the wick is still long enough, gently remove the shell, turn it over and put it back in the sand, then relight from the clean side.
If not, don't throw it away: crumble it gently, mix it back into the candle sand, then insert a new wick.
