A successful Christmas table starts with soft light. With the sand candle, you create in seconds candles in exactly the shape and colour of your decor: simply pour the candle sand into a heat-resistant container, insert a wick and light it. Here are our ideas for an elegant festive table, without effort.
Why the sand candle is ideal for a festive table

Idea 1: a centrepiece in a tray or large dish
Pour the candle sand into a wide, shallow, heat-resistant tray or dish. Insert two or three well-spaced wicks, then decorate with a few pebbles, fir branches or pine cones, keeping them well away from the flames. The 500 g size is best for a large container.
Idea 2: a row of glasses along the table
Line up thick glasses or lanterns down the centre of the table, each with its own small sand candle. The effect is warm and the light spreads along the whole length of the table.
Idea 3: a footed bowl for the wow effect
A large thick glass bowl filled with candle sand makes a superb focal point, on the table or on a sideboard.
Match the colours to your table
The prettiest result is a candle that echoes your table: the colour of your plates, tablecloth, napkins or tree decorations. White and gold tableware calls for a light, bright candle; a table in warm tones goes with more intense colours; black and gold decor makes a very chic table.
And you don’t have to choose: you can also mix several colours in the same container to create your own effect.
A tip for fragrance at the table
At the table, avoid strong fragrances that mix with the smell of the meal. The trick: just a few drops in the table candles, and a stronger fragrance in the living room, for example Ambre Précieux or Cuir Vanillé for a wintry mood. Discover the Grasse fragrances.
Safety rules to keep in mind
- Always use a heat-resistant container.
- Insert the wick without letting it touch the bottom of the container, and leave about 5 mm showing.
- Keep decorations (fir, paper, fabric) well away from the flames.
- Never leave a lit candle unattended, and keep it out of reach of children and pets.
